Its always good to share a success story when it comes to the world of fostering and care and this one comes from two of our very own carers and a young man who used to be in their care.
These particular carers have been with Beta for around 10 years, but have been carers for many years before that. They are skilled and knowledgeable and currently care for 3 children with complex needs. Prior to that they fostered a young man, who had been in care most of life due to neglect.
He was quite a demanding and challenging individual. But he was bright and intellectually capable of achieving good things at school with a particular interest in Maths & Science.
Whilst he was with our carers, they supported him through education into sixth form where he was then admitted into University. They continued with their support, even though he was no longer in their care and its great to hear he has recently achieved in his masters degree in Mathematics.
We would like to say WELL DONE to this young man. Keep working hard and you can achieve anything you set your mind too.
