We have been fostering for about 9 years.
We first registered to be foster parents with a Local Authority. We were with them a couple of years, unfortunately due to the poor support, we decided to leave.
We transferred to Evolve and we have realised it was the best decision we made.
Support is always there, the couple of times we have needed a swift response, Evolve have been quick to respond. They will come to your home and talk to the young people and us separately.
Our own supervising social worker regularly checks in with us and is always available.
A great thing about Evolve is that they ask for feedback and then action it. All foster carers are different in their approach and ideas, I honestly feel they welcome change and different ideas.
All the staff are approachable and helpful. I feel I can say that as I have dealt with them all individually. They are the voice of reason if situations are a bit heated or tricky. They can always see the other side and will offer advice without being judgemental.
The social side is lovely, the get togethers including biscuit barrel are great and fun.
