Being a foster carer is like nothing I thought it would be.
It’s a learning curve every day but the joy that the kids give you makes every challenge worth it.
We have made mistakes along the way, there have been many tears, many boundaries broken, but all the love, laughter and growing together cancels all of the ad times out .
Every young person is different
Overall being a foster carer is a challenge.
There will be times when you think you can’t do it, there will be times when you think I don’t get paid enough to go through this; but the most important times are seeing how happy thechildren are. That they feel safe, wanted and part of a family and money can’t buy that.
Would I do anything else? Not in a heartbeat!
