Having been fostering for about 8 years now, we have found it extremely rewarding, although it can be challenging at times! Especially when we have seen how our young people have developed and progressed. One young person who was with us for about 5 years is now an adult who is about to embark on his 4th year of a Masters Degree and he still maintains regular contact with us. The young person with us now, has many complex learning needs and challenging behaviours and it is a sheer joy to see how he has settled with us and to see the massive developments he has made. There is nothing that melts our hearts more than seeing a big smile on his face when we go and wake him up for school each morning!
